You
probably know that handwriting, electronic voice print, and body
language reveal a lot about you. Your hand shape, color, and
lines also reveals much about your psychological profile. Hand
Analysts study both hands for palm and finger shapes, mounds, major
and minor lines, and colors. From these physical indicators much
can be determined about you for better self-understanding. For
example, a strong thumb which is low set on the hand, and which
projects to the side at a large angle, indicates a person who is
eager to go to work and make things happen to get results. She or he
is confident, self-reliant, and is a "doer". This kind of thumb is
literally standing up and shouting, "I can do anything!"
Hand Analysis is a valuable way to
learn more about yourself. As you get to know yourself through
Hand Analysis, you can discover your best skills, gifts, talents,
strengths, and put them all to work more effectively. Focusing
on your natural strengths will allow you to feel better about
yourself, and enjoy more successes. With this new self-understanding
you will have more power to make your life be the way you want it
to be.
When we do Hand Analysis on other
people we help them understand their unique personal qualities.
We can do this because physical form follows function. It is simple:
hard workers have hard bodies; people who are tired look tired;
alive and energetic people reflect that look. This principle,
refined to a fine degree, allows a Hand Analyst to look at hands and
determine a lot about how a person functions in the
world.
For example, you
will probably see a much longer and stronger than usual index finger
on the hand of a person with a strong sense of personal power. She
or he undoubtedly is often pointing, and maybe even shaking, her or
his index finger in conversation to express strong emphasis and
personal power. At the same time other areas in the hands may be
underdeveloped. A trained Hand Analyst can see these physical
indicators in the hands and determine personal qualities of a
client.
As Hand Analysts,
we have a duty to show diplomatically and simply what
characteristics we see in a person's hand. The Hand Analyst can best
serve the client by tactfully and honestly pointing out
personal strengths and weaknesses, as evident in the hands'
strong and weak areas. Remember: The most important step to
success is self-understanding. As you practice Hand Analysis,
you will soon discover that your role automatically becomes that of
both Hand Analyst and teacher. You really can help
individuals reach a higher level of personal growth. At the same
time you may find great satisfaction as you more fully and
efficiently use the teacher, counsellor, and healer parts of
yourself.
As you study each
principle in the book, "It's All In Your Hands", remember that no
one indicator by itself is conclusive. You must combine the
indicators you see in both hands to make an accurate analysis.
Fortunately, the more you practice Hand Analysis, the more you will
find yourself naturally operating in your right brain hemisphere.
That is when you will amaze yourself and clients with incredible
and profound insights and revelations. It just happens! I have
seen this phenomena with myself and my students and believe anyone
can do it. It won't take long before you will find yourself doing
extremely rewarding Hand Analysis.
