In astrology, each planet has a very specific function. The Sun, it is 'soul' that transmits an idea to Mercury, which shall forward it to Venus, who feels things. Then Mars puts into action and expresses this idea. Jupiter, in turn, give the expansion, and finally Saturn puts it in place.
Monthly Horoscope for April
The New Moon (first total solar eclipse of 2023) on April 8th occurs in Aries and the Full Moon on April 23rd falls in Scorpio. Mercury travels into Aries and will remain until May 14th (due to his retrograde motion. On April 6th Venus enter into Aries and will remain until April 29th. Mars sails into Pisces until April 30th. Jupiter is in Taurus until May 25. Saturn is in Pisces until February 2026. Uranus is direct in Taurus. Neptune is direct in Pisces and Pluto is direct in Aquarius.
When a planet is retrograde in our charts, it means that the properties of that planet, in a sense, are reversed. The times that Mercury goes retrograde defines a time for us to slow down and go within. Think about what is happening in our lives and where we are going. Most of us see this time as an annoyance, but once again, Astrology is a tool and we need to use the time for our benefit.
Generally speaking, during a Mercury retrograde, we can expect delays, traffic situations, problems in communications (especially with telephones and cell phones), computer problems, delays in mail, and we never want to sign any contracts or legal documents, especially long-term ones. We don't throw logic completely out the window, if something needs to be taken care of and is of an urgent nature, we don't put it off, we just do what we need to do and see what unfolds.
All Aries and Libra are affected by this solar eclipse. Personal life is the most likely area to suffer, especially your closest relationships. The effect of a Solar Eclipse can last up to six months even years, so allow yourself to be acutely aware of all that you set in motion the day before, the day of and the day after the Eclipse!

Aries: In many ways, the North Node (Total Solar Eclipse), the first one in 2024 in your sign on April 8th, is a safe port for you. It will never give you anything, or anybody, affecting your reputation, or your image, that you haven’t seen before (or learned about, in a prior incarnation.)
Nevertheless, you don’t have to excuse yourself from life as a result. This is a useful cycle for exploring new options, from this month until October 2024 onwards.
On the other hand, this Solar Eclipse also called the North Node in Aries? Well, a ‘repeat, repeat, repeat’ situation with that (fated) man or woman, will also show you how extraordinary it feels to change your reality, by changing your point of view.
If you get it right, this is a portable life skill that you can take to anything. If you are married, or in a permanent relationship, you also need to accept the endless loop, or time-warp, that you now find yourself in. It ends in early 2025.
You’ll have common goals now, karmically, or complimentary goals, in terms of closure. So, keep your eyes on the karmic prize, and just keep walking. But remember – the other person will be at a completely different level to you, now!
The South Node in Libra is about balancing the scales. So, take the time to learn about what you must do, to make sure you respect each other’s owed/owing list.
On top of that, Mercury sails into your sign until May 14th. Your logical mind will be focused on your appearance, image, reputation and public profile now as Mercury transits your sign.
This is also applies to cosmetic dentistry, resumes, video blogs and anything else which is about your surface, rather than your substance. As Mercury moves along, this will be a busy and important time – at least in terms of your name, your face, your public persona, or your personal style.
Keep in mind that Mercury turns retrograde in Aries from until April 2nd through April 25. You may think you're expressing yourself clearly but people may misunderstand you. Even your best-laid plans can get messed up through communications.
You shouldn’t sign contracts, perfect documents, or make verbal agreements, because there’s great potential for misunderstandings, fights or impulsive reactions. You should use Mercury retrograde for its best opportunities: all "re" activities, like reviewing, refining, remixing and remastering. Work quietly and you could start a project mid-April when the messenger planet corrects course.
Having Mars, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart is demanding that you spend time in life's slow lane, recharging your batteries.
Your subconscious is especially activated, so you may have trouble sleeping—all the more reason to power down early.
